LTAI in line with all companies in the Lufthansa Group adopts a policy of environmental responsibility aimed at continual improvement of environmental performance and the prevention of industrial pollution.
 
 Licences/Accreditations Held
 
Integrated Pollution Control (IPC) Licence from the Irish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) in January 1999.
 
ISO14001 Environmental Management International Certified Standard in April 2000.
 
ISO14001
 
The International Standard ISO14001 specifies stringent internationally recognised requirements for an environmental management system which enables organisations to control, manage and improve environmental performance. LTAI has been accredited as meeting these requirements.

The ISO14001 process provides for continual improvements in the environmental performance of the organisation's activities that can interact with the environment.

LTAI is one of the world's leading independent providers of jet engine overhaul and repair services. The company, based in Rathcoole Co. Dublin, is a subsidiary of Lufthansa Technik AG (LHT), an organisation renowned for global technical excellence in the aviation field.

Through their participation in EMAS (European Environmental Management and Audit Scheme) LHT demonstrate the great value they have placed on environmental responsibility. With that in mind we embrace the principles set in Lufthansa Technik's policy document "

 Our guidelines for Environmental Protection:

LTAI has adopted the following principles to implement this policy for our site activities:

 To systematically record, document and evaluate the environmental impact of our activities.

 To formulate and review environmental objectives and targets aimed at continual improvement of environmental performance and the prevention of pollution by utilising cleaner technologies, waste minimisation and raw material substitution where feasible.

 To conform to all statutory requirements set out in our Integrated Pollution Control License and to ensure compliance with all applicable Irish and EU legislative regulations and corporate policies.

 To put in place structures to minimise and monitor our environmental impacts especially in the areas of emissions to atmosphere, waste generation, energy and resource usage and environmental noise from the site.

 To promote Environmental awareness among all of our employees and provide appropriate training to encourage employee initiative and involvement in our environmental programmes.

 To ensure that all our customers, suppliers and all other interested parties are aware of our Environmental Policy and as part of our Environmental Management System to encourage our suppliers to adopt similar principles.
